The Features
Improved Aerodynamics
The aerodynamics of the AEROJET driver are designed to squeeze out as much clubhead speed as possible. Part of this design are symmetrical shaping, a raised skirt, and streamlined edges.
The crown of the driver, made of lightweight carbon fiber, is slightly flatter than traditional designs, and combined with the raised skirt, this is intended to improve airflow over the driver through the swing.
A.I. H.O.T Face
The idea behind H.O.T (“Highly Optimized Topology”) is similar to Callaway’s A.I. Flash Face.
Using machine-learned data from thousands of impact simulations, the thickness of the face is optimized in multiple locations through CNC machining. The result is more consistent spin and increased ball speeds across the face, not just in the sweet spot.
This technology gets its name from the fact that these zones create a topology map consisting of peaks and valleys.
PWRSHELL L-Cup
The L-Cup face, which has historically been used in Cobra irons, now makes its way to the driver.
This variable-thickness insert wraps around the carbon fiber sole and maximizes face flexion at impact, resulting in better launch and more distance.
PWR-BRIDGE
The PWR-BRIDGE consists of a fully suspended weight bar that is positioned near the sole right behind the face.
This shifts the center of gravity (CG) low and forward and improves face flexibility, leading to better energy transfer to the ball at impact and hence more ball speed.
Arccos Sensors
The purchase of Cobra golf equipment like the AEROJET driver immediately makes you eligible to receive free Arccos Smart Sensors and a one-year free trial to the Arccos Caddie app.
Arccos sensors are attached to the clubs in your bag and enable automatic shot tracking, real-time GPS yardage information adjusted for environmental conditions, caddie advice, and post-round strokes gained analytics.
Arccos features can be accessed through a smartphone, smart watch, or Arccos Link device. It is said that Cobra players improve by five strokes on average after their first year using the Arccos Caddie system.
